Updates to ISO 9001

Did you know that all ISO standards are reviewed every five years – This exercise is carried out to establish if an ISO revision is required to keep the ISO standard both current and relevant to its sector. Next years edits to the ISO 9001 standard will respond to recent trends and become closely linked to other ISO management systems such as the ISO 14001. Exciting times for all involved.

Here at ISO Certification Services we have been keeping a keen eye on these updates to ISO 9001. Currently updates to ISO 9001 are in a draft stage (Draft International Stage), once approved it moves into the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) stage in prep for its publication. The updated ISO 9001 standard has an ETA for next year, towards the end of 2015.
