ISO/TS 16949 Auditing

What were the main changes to ISO/TS 16949 and how did they influence your business this year?

ISO/TS 16949:2009

Well, changes to ISO/TS 16949 earlier this year (Fully Implemented – April 1st 2014) intended to strengthen the value of this ISO certification – new focus was put on areas where ISO/TS 16949 appeared not to have been as successful – To be honest there are few areas that did not see improvement or a full transformation. When it comes to ISO/TS 16949 much more emphasis has now been placed on the detail of its audit.

The ISO/TS 16949 Standard requires internal auditors be competent on the basis of education, skill, training and experience. An understanding of the ISO/TS requirements is essential before any audit, as unlike other management systems audits ISO/TS 16949 must be conducted to cover all shift work.

One of the many benefits of being certified to ISO/TS 16949 include additional confidence to your customers – If you are seeking ISO/TS 16949 or would like to discuss its audit within your company then please do contact ISO Certification Services today – We would be delighted to help.
